AC Installation in Tecumseh

AC Installation for Tecumseh homes

Tecumseh combines established neighbourhoods near the Lake St. Clair shoreline with newer subdivisions and rural properties to the south, some without natural gas service. Larger Tecumseh homes with finished basements and upper floors often have a hot second storey in summer. Proper sizing, return air upstairs and a variable-speed blower do more for that problem than a bigger outdoor unit.

What's included

Central air conditioner installation and replacement, matched to your furnace and ductwork and installed by certified refrigerant technicians. Depending on your home and equipment, the work can include:

• Sizing
• Matched indoor coil
• Line set
• Refrigerant work
• Electrical and pad
• Drainage
• Home visit.
• Written quote.
• Install day.
• Walk-through.

Local conditions in Tecumseh

Larger Tecumseh homes often have hot upper floors in summer, and properties near fields see outdoor units clogged with crop dust and fluff. Proper sizing, return air upstairs and regular coil cleaning keep cooling systems running well.

Questions to ask before you hire

Whoever you hire for AC installation in Tecumseh, get clear answers to these before signing:

• How did you size the air conditioner?
• Will the indoor coil be matched to the outdoor unit?
• Will the line set be replaced or flushed and pressure tested?
• Are your technicians certified to handle refrigerant?
• What warranty comes with the equipment and the installation?

Permits and licensing

Building permits in Tecumseh are issued by the Town of Tecumseh's building department. Like-for-like equipment replacement often doesn't need a building permit, but ductwork in new spaces and structural changes may. Gas and propane appliances must be installed by a TSSA-registered contractor, and electrical work by a licensed electrical contractor. We confirm what applies to your property before work starts.
